Handmade Masonic and presentation gavels in red oak, white oak, black walnut, and maple

Handcrafted in Niagara, Canada

Gavels worth
keeping.

Solid Canadian red oak, white oak, black walnut, and maple — turned and finished by hand in our Niagara workshop. For lodges, courts, graduations, and the milestones worth marking.

A gavel marks something real — a year of service, an appointment, a career, a graduation. It should be a real object: turned from solid wood, finished by hand, and made to be kept.

The Art Cave · Niagara, Canada

Made by hand, by the maker

Our gavels are the woodturning side of The Art Cave, the studio of jeweler and woodworker Hrant K. The same hands that set fine detail in metal turn each gavel from a solid block of Canadian hardwood.

  • Solid Canadian hardwood

Red oak, white oak, black walnut, and maple, chosen to suit each order.

  • Turned by one maker

Every gavel and sound block is shaped on the lathe and finished by hand in Niagara.

  • Engraved to order

Names, dates, lodge numbers, and crests — proofed with you, then cut by hand.
